iPAQ Data Messenger - English ROM Update for HP iPAQ Data Messenger Type: BIOS This package contains the English ROM Update Utility (RUU) and ROM image for the HP iPAQ Data Messenger and Operating System.­ This package updates only the products supporting the following SKU IDs or Product IDs: FB149AA#ABA,­ FB149AA#ARE,­ FB149AA#ABG,­ FB149AA#UUF,­ FB149AA#ABB,­ and FB149AT#ABB.­ To find the SKU ID or Product ID on the iPAQ device,­ tap Start > Settings > System > HP Asset Viewer > System.­ This ROM update enhances the modem code to optimize the power consumption.­ It also updates the Key Guard and HP Photosmart Mobile versions.­ This update provides added Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) support on SIM cards that can have two profiles.­ It fixes the SingTel pre-paid card and the Global Positioning System (GPS) status indication issues.­ IMPORTANT: The RUU is designed to replace the current ROM image and to erase the partnership and all user data and programs on the iPAQ Data Messenger.­ This ROM Update will clean reset the HP iPAQ Handheld device to factory settings.­ Therefore,­ back up all your data before performing this update.­
